Our School
St. Robert Catholic High School was the first high school in the York Catholic District School Board. The high school was first established in 1975 on the original site of St. Robert Elementary School. In January 1989 the final addition was added to the school to complete the high school, as it exists today. Over the years St. Robert Catholic High School has developed a reputation in the community for academic excellence, exuberant school spirit, and commitment to the needs of others. Our staff, students and parents work hard to maintain the 29-year tradition that has enabled our graduates to contribute both personally and professionally to their communities. One of our most gratifying accomplishments is the number of graduates who have entered the teaching profession, many of them returning to teach for the Y.C.D.S.B.

Facilities
St. Robert Catholic High School’s facility currently accommodates approximately 1400 students. The school has a beautiful garden, chapel, 2 gymnasia, 4 science labs, 2 computer labs, 2 business labs, 1 math lab, 2 music rehearsal halls, 11 rooms with internet access, 5 eLearn rooms, as well as numerous regular classrooms.

Our Belief
The St. Robert C.H.S. community believes that a Catholic high school is one in which the teachings of Jesus Christ are integrated into the day-to-day curriculum and social fabric of high school.  The life roles, knowledge, skills and attitudes outlined in the Ontario Catholic School Graduates Expectations (Institute for Catholic Education) describe the seven distinctive expectations of Catholic School Graduates.  These are demonstrated through: prayer services, classroom liturgies and Sacramental Life, daily prayer, an active pastoral team, opportunities for individual student reflection in our chapel, retreats for staff and students and all courses offered.

We live our Catholic Faith by focusing on service, relationships, the Word of God, and lay witness and leadership.  Our Chaplaincy Team coordinates and animates, with local pastors, the many areas of our faith life.  We also have Catholic symbols throughout our school and our parish representative is our liaison with the parish.

Our Mission Statement

Knowledge is the beginning.  Educate the whole person within our Catholic community in order to achieve full potential as a responsible Canadian adult and a life-long learning in our dynamic, diversified society.

Chaplaincy Team: G. Palumbo and D. Collins
