Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:
In preparation for our first week of classes, we would like to provide you with the information you will need with respect to arrival, student cohort designations, and our daily schedule.
Where to Find your Cohort Designations:
Students can view their cohort designation for both their period one and two classes by logging into the connectEd web link under the “Students” tab on our school website. Attached are the login instructions and details on where the cohort designations can be found. Once you have logged into connectEd, you will see the period one and two cohort designations listed to the far left under student “Age” and “Grade”. Under the “Timetable” tab, you will see the Room Number listed for each course and period.
Our daily school schedule is as follows:
8:30 a.m. Period One class start time
11:00 a.m. Dismissal
12:30 p.m. Period Two class start time (virtual for all cohorts)
3:00 p.m. End of Period Two
Students will have from [11:00 to 12:30] to travel home and eat lunch.
Cohort Attendance Dates for the Grade Nine Orientation:
Grade 9 Cohort A – Thursday, September 10, period one class – school orientation
Grade 9 Cohort B – Friday, September 11, period one class – school orientation
Grade 9 Cohorts B and C should join the Virtual Learning Class of their period one course on Thursday, September 11 in order to obtain instructions by their classroom teacher regarding participation on this day and the next.
Please also note, that the period two afternoon class will not be running for grade nine students on September 10 and 11.
Cohort Attendance Dates for All Grades:
Grade 9-12 Cohort A – Monday, September 14
Grade 9-12 Cohort B – Tuesday, September 15
Grade 9-12 Cohort C – everyday via the Virtually Learning Classroom
When Cohorts A and B are at home in the morning on their off days, they are still to sign into their Virtual Classroom and participate. Every day will be a new lesson or a continuation of one. Cohort C Remote Learners are to attend daily via their Virtual Classroom.
All Cohorts are to participate daily in their afternoon class via their Virtual Classrooms.
How to Join your Virtual Classrooms:
In order to join their period one and two Virtual Classrooms, students are to check their GSuite K12 email accounts daily, up to the start of the class commencement date. They will receive a notification by their period one and two teachers to enter into their Virtual Classroom (either D2L or Google Classroom).
Arrival at School:
Bus arrival times will be staggered. For bus information visit: School Bus Information.
To assist us in staggering entry into the school drop off zone, we ask that parents follow this schedule:
Grade 9 and 10 students: 15 to 30 minutes prior to the period one class start time
Grade 11 and 12 students: up to 15 minutes prior to the period one class start time
Schools will be closed and only accessible to students to enter 45 minutes prior to the start of the school day.
What Are Students to do Upon Entering the Building:

Ensure masks are on

Sanitize hands

Maintain a 2 metre distance from others

Walk to the Period one Class room number that is given on the timetable

Stand against the wall in the hallway by the class so that the teacher can assign desk seats
